Bio: We are a diverse team of students from various academic backgrounds, including Medical Bioengineering, Pharmacy, and Medicine, while having Mr. Alexandru Plesoianu by our side as main advisor, who has a Ph.D. in mechanical circulatory systems. Our goal is to develop a device that will last for more than 10 years and easily fit both adult and pediatric patients. The MAVIS Artificial Heart aims to provide optimum cardiac output, enhance the quality of life, and minimize the risk of side effects.
